Daggerwing Nature Center will celebrate Earth Day Fest on Saturday, April 15, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in South County Regional Park west of Boca Raton. The event is free and both children and adults can learn about our surrounding ecosystem through fun, educational activities.
The festivities will begin with a guided nature walk, followed by story time, puppets, music by Pretend Party Productions, and a spirit-lifting lady bug release. Earth Day craft activities will be available in the morning and again in the afternoon. A second nature walk, as well as an amazing reptile program with Underground Reptiles are also scheduled.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own refreshments and enjoy a picnic in the grass, or the picnic kiosks, with Mother Nature. Daggerwing Nature Center learning areas will be open and the toddler learning area will be available during the event.
Daggerwing Nature Center is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and is located in South County Regional Park at 1200 Park Access Road, west of State Road 441, between Glades Road and Yamato Road, in West Boca Raton.
