Commissioner Newell Pleased with Progress of Old Courthouse

Commissioner Newell conducted a tour of the old courthouse in West Palm Beach on April 11, 2006 with Robin Lunsford, project manager for Hedrick Brothers Construction. While strolling through the site, the Commissioner was pleased to see so many of the architectural features that have been salvaged.

Some of the original materials that will be used include exterior granite and limestone elements, windows, doors, marble wainscot and chair railings, marble cornerstone blocks and maple flooring. The project should be completed by November 2007.
