County Plans New Golf Course

County Commissioner Warren Newell recently gathered on the future 11th hole of Park Ridge Golf Course with several residents from the Coalition of Boynton West Residential Associations (COBWRA) and Venetian Isles Golf Club who are looking forward to having a new golf course in their neighborhood. Scheduled to open in October, the course is located on top of the Solid Waste Authority’s Lantana landfill which has been closed for twenty years.
Park Ridge Golf Course will be an 18-hole regulation course on 180 acres that include a 75-foot elevation on part of the course, some native areas and a lake. Plans include a club house, pro shop, concessions, restrooms and some offices. The last phase of construction, grassing and irrigation is scheduled to begin the first week of May.
