The Palm Beach County Public Affairs Department earned Superior Awards from the National Association of County Information Officers (NACIO) in the 2007 Awards of Excellence Competition. Top honors were given to the 2006 Hurricane Survival Guide that won the first-place Superior Award and Best in Class for four-color brochures. Public Affairs Director Beth Ingold-Love said, “This is our first hurricane guide, and I am very pleased with the results. It is an outstanding example of how brainstorming and teamwork can produce a well-needed and thorough publication from scratch.” The 30-page publication was distributed to over 700,000 residents through direct mail and requests from organizations. Another Superior Award was earned in the special projects category for Palm Beach County Days 2006. In addition, the Excellent Award was given to the 2006 State of the County Address. |
