Pahokee Animal Shelter Closing

The Pahokee Animal Care and Control facility will be temporarily closed to the public beginning Friday, April 4, 2008, until further notice.  The closing is to accommodate the construction of a free spay and neuter clinic for dogs and cats in Palm Beach County.

While the satellite facility is closed, officials are asking residents to please not leave animals at the Pahokee animal shelter, and if they find stray animals in need of rescue, to please call the main shelter of Animal Care and Control in West Palm Beach at 561-233-1200, ext. 0 for assistance.
