Commissioner Kanjian Celebrates Sheriff's Substation Opening

Commissioner Bob Kanjian celebrated the grand opening for the new Sheriff’s Office Substation Detachment 6 located on Jog Road adjacent to the Park Vista High School.  Serving as the master of ceremonies for the ribbon-cutting dedication was the Detachment Commander, Sheriff's Captain Martin Bechtel.  The ceremony was well attended by many members of the public in addition to the leadership of the Coalition of Boynton West Residential Associations (COBWRA).

Noting that his father is a retired police officer formerly with the District of Columbia, Commissioner Kanjian complimented the men and women who will be stationed with Detachment 6 and serving to protect people and property within this central Palm Beach County community.  He also commended Captain Bechtel for his community involvement and his support in attending many evening homeowner association meetings.  "I am pleased that Captain Bechtel joins with me in attending these meetings because so many of our residents have questions and concerns about law enforcement and public safety," Commissioner Kanjian said.
