Criminal Justice Commission Celebrates Lakeside Youth Empowerment Center Grand Opening

The Palm Balm Beach County Criminal Justice Commission and the City of Belle Glade will be celebrating the grand opening of the Lakeside Youth Empowerment Center on Friday, April 24 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend the community celebration, which will include food and entertainment.

The county’s youth empowerment centers are part of the Criminal Justice Commission’s ongoing efforts to successfully combat youth violence. The centers provide a variety of activities and services for teens ages 13 to 18, including after-school programs, tutoring, mentoring, job training, gang prevention outreach and employment services.

The Lakeside Youth Empowerment Center is the fifth center to open in Palm Beach County.
