Palm Beach County
Commissioners are scheduled to reopen Phil Foster Park this
Friday, May 5, following a dedication ceremony hosted by Palm
Beach County Commissioner Karen T. Marcus. The event will begin
at 9:30 a.m.
Local boaters and
other park patrons will be rewarded for their patience during
the renovation of this popular park. Amenities now include new
staging and day dockage for boat ramps, a passenger loading dock
for water taxis and dive boats, and an expanded car and boat
trailer parking area.
Additional amenities
include:

Waterfront
promenade featuring a paver pathway, site lighting and
benches;

Four family
picnic shelters;

Two new fishing
platforms;

Playground;
-
Restroom/office
building;
-
Restroom/security building;
-
Maintenance
building.
Other dignitaries
scheduled to be included on the dedication program include Palm
Beach County Commissioner Tony Masilotti, Chairman, Palm Beach
County Commissioner Addie L. Greene, Vice Chairperson, Palm
Beach County Commissioner Warren H. Newell, Congressman Clay
Shaw, District 22, Commissioner John D. Booth, Palm Beach
County, Florida Inland Navigation District, Mayor Michael D.
Brown, City of Riviera Beach, and Chairwoman Ann Iles, City
Council of Riviera Beach.
Phil Foster Park is
located at 900 E. Blue Heron Boulevard in Riviera Beach.
