Commissioner Kanjian Speaks At Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

	The previous building, which housed only the American Lung Association's office, was destroyed by hurricanes.  The newly renovated building marks the partnership of the two agencies and also keynotes the building's environmentally friendly design and construction employing green technologies.  Built according to Leadership in Energy and Enviromental Design (LEED) critieria, the building is LEED-registered with the goal of receiving silver certification.

Commissioner Bob Kanjian recently spoke at a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the grand opening of the new building housing the Quantum Foundation and the American Lung Association of Southeast Florida.

In his remarks, Commissioner Kanjian noted that he is the chairman of the County's soon-to-be established Green Task Force for Environmental Sustainability and Conservation.  He congratulated both agencies for their leadership and foresight in green building innovations.
