Focus on Women

Commissioner McCarty participated in the "Focus On Women Networking Luncheon" on June 1, 2006 at the Delray Beach Country Club. The "Women in Government" guest panel consisted of (l-r) PBC Chief Judge Kathleen Kroll, State Representative Anne Gannon, County Commissioner Mary McCarty, and Delray Beach Commissioners Rita Ellis and Brenda Montague. The discussion centered on the various roles women in public office experience and how to encourage more women to participate in public office. Many of the 60 community business women in attendance had the opportunity to direct questions to the panel.
