New Palm Beach County Equestrian Center Now Open

BCC Chairman Tony Masilotti dedicated the new equestrian center to the memory of Dr. James (Jim) Brandon
BCC Chairman Tony Masilotti dedicated the new equestrian center to the memory of Dr. James (Jim) Brandon. Dr. Brandon was a charter member of the Okeeheelee Park Citizens Advisory Committee and was the driving force in the acquisition and development of Okeeheelee Park. Commissioner Masilotti is joined by members of the Brandon family and other Palm Beach County officials.

The Palm Beach County Jim Brandon Equestrian Center is officially open to the public. The grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Commissioner Tony Masilotti drew a crowd of horse enthusiasts and supporters on June 10.

The 111-acre world class equestrian center will host western and English riding horse shows and demonstration and educational events throughout the year. The facility includes a covered, lighted show arena, two lighted show rings and three lighted training rings. A lighted open riding area includes two show rings with a western event and team penning arena. Two barns on site can accommodate up to 128 horses.

Additional amenities include show offices, as well as announcer, concession, and restroom buildings. Ample parking is available for spectators, judges, vendors, trucks and horse trailers.

The Palm Beach County Jim Brandon Equestrian Center is located in Okeeheelee Park South just west of Jog Road at 7500 Forest Hill Boulevard.
