Commissioner Koons presented a proclamation on June 20, 2006 on behalf of the Board honoring the
retirement of Assistant County Engineer G. Haney Frakes. Mr.
Frakes has served in the County's Engineering and Public Works
Department for 29 years and some of his accomplishments include:
developing the Roadway Beautification Program and the
department's Streetscape Section; development of the first road
impact fee program in the state; and helping to establish "Keep
Palm Beach County Beautiful" and the County's first Five-Year
Road Program. Mr. Frakes will retire on June 20, 2006.
