Grand Reopening of County’s Glades Road Branch Library

On May 21, Commissioner Aaronson participated in the reopening ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Glades Road Branch Library (formerly known as the Southwest County Regional Library).  The library was closed in February 2009 for renovation. 
The library now features a larger area for teens, updated paint and carpet, and refurbished furniture.  In addition, outdated fixtures were replaced with new audiovisual shelving, existing seating and shelving were rearranged providing more open space, and computer stations were streamlined to allow for additional terminals.  Also, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.

The improvements and renovations were funded through the 2002 Library Bond Referendum.
