Commissioner McCarty Donates Buses to Afterschool Program

On July 16, Commissioner McCarty met Wayne Barton, CEO/Founder of Barton’s Boosters, at Palm Tran headquarters to present him with two surplus county buses.  Commissioner McCarty allocated $9,800 from her District IV gas tax funds to donate the buses for transportation of underprivileged children to the Wayne Barton Study Center, an afterschool program in Boca Raton.
