With Florida Senate Bill 360 (SB 360) now in effect, a two-year time extension is available for development orders or building permits issued by local governments.
This includes eligible participants who were issued a development order or building permit in unincorporated Palm Beach County with an expiration or review date of September 1, 2008 through January 1, 2012.
Application requests to the authorizing agency must be made in writing no later than December 31, 2009. The Palm Beach County divisions that must be notified of the extension(s) are Monitoring for commencement of development, platting, site plans, subdivision plans, and conditions of approval, including variances; Land Development for land development permits; Building for building permits; and Environmental Resources Management (ERM) for environmental permits.
The application and instructions are available online at http://www.pbcgov.com/pzb/Planning/app_mon_te_sb360.pdf
A processing fee of $76 is required with the SB 360 time extension application when submitted to Monitoring. Other agencies may require different fees with their SB 360 time extension applications.
