Commissioner Kanjian Celebrates Grand Opening of Fire Rescue Station 48

Commissioner Robert J. Kanjian recently participated in the grand opening of the County’s Fire Rescue Station 48. To start the ceremony, the County’s Fire Rescue color guard posted the colors as the Fire Rescue bagpipers and drummers played the Irish marching song, “Garry Owen.” As part of the opening ceremony, Commissioner Kanjian took the opportunity to address the many residents that were in attendance.

Dignitaries cut ribbon for new Fire Rescue Station 48

The new station is located at the corner of Lyons and Hypoluxo Roads in the western part of the Commissioner’s District III. The station will be manned by three firefighters who will have both an engine and an Advanced Life Support vehicle. While addressing the residents, Commissioner Kanjian noted that, in his former capacity at the School Board, he attended many school ceremonies but nothing that was as exciting as this fire rescue ceremony.
