Palm Tran Announces Route Changes Effective Sept. 28, 2008

The following changes were approved by the Palm Tran Service Board and will go into effect Sept. 28, 2008:

• Route 5: Service will be discontinued.
• Routes 1, 2, 3, 40, 47, 48, 94: Select evening and weekend service will be discontinued.
• Route 40: Saturday and Sunday service will be discontinued east of the Mall at Wellington Green.
• Route 60: Saturday service will be discontinued.
• Route 70:  Service will operate on a 90-minute frequency on Sundays.
• Routes 20, 71, 73, 81:  Sunday service will be discontinued.

Palm Tran’s customer service department will have new hours starting Oct. 5, 2008.  Representatives will be available to provide route information Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.  For more information, please call 561-841-4287.
