Commissioner Abrams Leads South County Courthouse Ceremony

On September 2, 2009, Commissioner Abrams led the re-dedication ceremony celebrating the completion of the final expansion phase of the South County Courthouse in Delray Beach.  The courthouse expanded from 68,000 to 150,000 sq. ft. and includes additional court and hearing rooms.  Programs and services have also expanded, especially in support of the new Family Court services being offered. 

In all, the county could not be more excited about its successful partnership with the City of Delray Beach and the Community Redevelopment Agency, resulting in a top-notch governmental facility that is now an integral part of the community.  This successful redevelopment not only provides an increase in services but also has a major impact on the local economy.  There are approximately 200 employees and 6,000 visitors daily at the South County Courthouse.
