Orlando Mayor and Palm Beach County Commission Chairman to Hold Transportation Press Conference

There will be a press conference Wednesday at the Tri-Rail Station in West Palm Beach (203 South Tamarind Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL, 33401) with Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and County Commission Chairman Jeff Koons. 

Mayor Dyer will travel to South Florida to meet with Chairman Koons and other regional leaders to discuss the importance of funding for Tri-Rail and Central Florida’s planned commuter line, SunRail.

The two will conclude their meetings with local leaders at the Tri Rail Operations Center in Pompano (800 NW 33rd Street, Suite 100, Pompano Beach, FL 33064). After the meetings there, they will ride Tri-Rail to the West Palm Beach Station for the 3:10 P.M. press conference.

Meetings with members of the Florida Legislature will focus on dedicated funding sources for Tri-Rail and reconciliation of other outstanding issues related to transit during the 2009 legislative session.
