The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, through the Economic Development Office, has provided $227,701 in a Section 108 loan and a Brownfield Economic Development Incentive (BEDI) grant to an expanding business in western Palm Beach County. This will create seven new jobs and leverage $303,403 in private investment. Circle S Pharmacy, Inc. is located in the revitalization area of Pahokee.
The Pahokee Downtown Revitalization Project is a $7 million public-private partnership represented by private business owners seeking to renovate 12 commercial city blocks in downtown Pahokee.
The Palm Beach County Section 108 Program assists eligible businesses with gap financing through below-market rate loans for fixed assets. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), under the Section 108 Loan Guarantee Program, and administered by the Palm Beach County Economic Development Office.
