County Funds Royal Palm Beach Boulevard Improvements

Commissioner Masilotti and RPB representatives
Commissioner Masilotti The oldest street in the Village of Royal Palm Beach will have new bike lanes, landscaping, lighting and other improvements thanks to $400,000 in gas tax funding from Palm Beach County. Commissioner Tony Masilotti delivered the big check during the October 5 Village Council meeting. Pictured above (l-r) are Village Manager David Farber, Village Attorney Trela White, Councilman David Swift, Councilwoman Barbara Isenberg, Commissioner Masilotti, Mayor David Lodwick, Village Clerk Diane DiSanto, Councilman Fred Pinto and Vice Mayor Matty Mattioli. Before the check presentation, Commissioner Masilotti gave a very positive update on the Acreage reliever road (State Road 7 extension) project. Groundbreaking for Phase 1, from Okeechobee Boulevard to Persimmon Boulevard, is set for December and should take about two years to complete. The extension will help ease congestion in the village caused by heavy commuter traffic from The Acreage.
