County Extension Service Offering Bus Tour to the Everglades Agricultural Area

The Palm Beach County Cooperative Extension Service is hosting an exciting one-day bus tour of the Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) in western Palm Beach County on Thursday, November 9, 2006.
Participants will learn about the crops grown, the economic and environmental importance of the Everglades Agricultural Area, agricultural best management practices that farmers are implementing to protect water quality, and how constructed wetlands filter water running off the land before it reaches the Everglades.

What: Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) Bus Tour
Where: The tour will depart from and return to the Palm Beach County Cooperative Extension Service Office/Mounts Botanical Garden parking lot, 531 North Military Trail, West Palm Beach.
When: Thursday, November 9, 2006; 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
