Refuge Opens New Visitor Center

On October 17, 2009, Commissioner Vana attended the ribbon cutting of the new interactive visitor's center at the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. She read the proclamation declaring October 17, 2009 as National Wildlife Refuge Day at the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. Commissioner Vana attended this event with her granddaughter to emphasize the importance of protecting our natural areas for future generations.
