Tri County Humane Society - 5th Annual Doggie Ball

Commissioner Mary McCarty's three Maltese, Max, Patty and Molly, have graciously accepted to be the honorary dog chairs at our Fifth Annual Doggie Ball on March 18, 2007, at Boca West County Club's Grand Ballroom.  McCarty has been a long time supporter of Tri County Humane Society; she is a true animal advocate and animal lover.  She was very instrumental in passing the "No Tethering" law in Palm Beach County.  She is also strongly pushing for shelters to be available for people to take their animals in cases of disaster and evacuation.  Every year this event has been a sold out success.  Tri County Humane Society, a no-kill organization, raised $415,000.00 at last year's Doggie Ball to help in our effort to rescue and save abused, abandoned and neglected animals.  Tri County rescues over 2,000 animals every year and provides care and medical treatment until each animal is placed into a forever home.
