Commissioner Aaronson Helps Fund Lyons Road Extension

Motorists in southern Palm Beach County will be getting around more safely and efficiently, thanks to a contribution of $2 million in Transportation Improvement Funds from District 5 Commissioner Burt Aaronson.
The monies will help pay for a planned 3.2-mile extension of Lyons Road between Boynton Beach Boulevard and West Atlantic Avenue. The two-lane collector is currently in the design phase with construction slated to begin in the 2008 fiscal year.
“This is becoming a high-impact area, and a north-south reliever is needed to take some of the pressure off State Road 7 and Hagen Ranch Road,” said Commissioner Aaronson.
