The Palm Beach County Public Affairs Department earned top-notch recognition in the Fall 2006 Millennium Awards, a national competition saluting outstanding work in video/film/TV, print, Web design, audio and advertising.
Ten awards were given to the department, three of which were in the highest category.
Gold Millennium awards were earned for the Little Black Book (the County’s internal telephone directory), the 2006 Hurricane Survival Guide and the draw bridge openings schedule in Palm Beach County. Silver awards were given for the 2006 calendar, the redesign of the County’s Web site (pbcgov.com), the County’s Web site brochure, the Media Handbook, the Guide to Services and the Economic Summit. A Bronze Millennium was awarded for the County’s store brochure.
There were over 2,100 entries received, and only the top seven percent were recognized. Entries were judged by award-winning, highly qualified professionals in the communications industry. Among this year’s awardees were CNN, ESPN, Time Warner Cable and Fox Television.
