Commissioner Koons Attends Grand Opening of the New Old Trail Park

Commissioner Jeff Koons recently attended the grand opening of the county’s new Old Trail Park. The event was held on Saturday, November 17 at the park, located at 2379 N. Old Military Trail.

The 1.52-ace park features a junior basketball court and two age-appropriate children’s play areas featuring slides and a tire swing. The park also includes an open playfield, seven benches, a covered picnic table, a water fountain and a bike rack.

While being interviewed, Commissioner Koons chats with a happy visitor at the new park.

The park was developed by Palm Beach County’s Parks and Recreation Department and the Countywide Community Revitalization Team in response to the surrounding community’s request for a safer place for youth to play.
