Commissioner Participates in Panel Discussion on Economic Growth Initiatives

On November 12, 2009, Commissioner Abrams participated in a panel discussion with the Urban Land Institute Florida/Caribbean 8th Annual Treasure Coast Program held in West Palm Beach. The Commissioner discussed the county's economic development initiatives such as the proposed inland port facility in South Bay and other projects in the pipeline which could create potential and much-needed jobs while stimulating the local economy.

Commissioner Abrams also discussed the importance of other local governmental initiatives such as expending building permits and the "shovel ready" pre-site program offered at locations countywide including the Vista Center and Florida Research Park.
