Thank you, Mr. Chairman

Commissioner Jeff Koons completed his year as chairman of the Board of County Commissioners at the November 17 BCC meeting. In appreciation of his dedicated service, County Administrator Bob Weisman presented Commissioner Koons with a digital photo frame filled with numerous pictures of the commissioner out and about representing Palm Beach County government. Commissioner Koons was praised for his leadership on the Homeless Advisory Board and implementation of the 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness, his strong support of funding mechanisms for the development of badly needed affordable housing, and for championing state legislation for a dedicated funding source for Tri-Rail. Commissioner Koons thanked his fellow board members for their support and passed the gavel to new Commission Chair Burt Aaronson.
