Abrams Volunteers with Project Holiday Benefitting Our Deployed Military

On November 22, 2009, Commissioner Abrams joined volunteers and other elected officials in support of the 4th Annual Project Holiday benefitting our deployed USA military members during the holiday season.  Volunteers collect, package and ship desperately needed items to members of the military who will not be able to come home for the holidays. 

 “Spending time making these care packages for our service men and woman deployed overseas is the least I could do in support of such a worthy cause,” said Abrams.  “It was a pleasure to meet such a dedicated and terrific group of volunteers,” he added. 

This project is a joint effort by various organizations including the City of Delray Beach, You Are Not Alone, the Church of the Palms Congregational and One Soldier at a Time.
