Cooperative Extension Service Offers Residential Workshop
"Proper Pruning of Fruit Trees in South Florida"

Urban trees provide a sense of place, beauty, increased property value, shade, habitat for wildlife and energy savings.  In an urban environment, trees grow differently than in the forest and must be installed and cared for properly.  Proper tree care is important to maintaining urban trees’ value, safety, function and longevity in the landscape.

Fruit trees can be great additions to your landscape.  It is important to know that they require different care than ornamental and canopy trees.  Proper pruning and training is essential for fruit trees to yield optimal amounts of fruit. Learn about what can be grown here, as well as correct maintenance techniques in this upcoming workshop, the last in our series of nine unique tree care workshops.
