Local Talent Soars at Airport

Public Invited to “Flower Power” Artist Reception December 6, 2006 – 5:30-7:00 p.m.

Palm Beach County’s Art in Public Places program invites the public to attend an artist reception at the Palm Beach International Airport on Wednesday, December 6, 2006, 5:30-7:00 p.m. in the Airport’s Concession Mall, Level 2 Main Terminal, across from Travelers Lounge. Parking is available in Short Term levels 4-7.

With refreshments at hand, guests can mingle with Palm Beach County artists whose collage, photography, paintings and sculpture are featured in Flower Power which explores Palm Beach County’s year-round bounty of blossoms and floriferous gardens. The exhibition runs through February 7, 2007. Selected works were chosen by Palm Beach County’s Public Art Committee. Artworks are for sale.

Flower Power features works by local artists Glenn Heino, Scott Jaquith, Paula Kufs, Ulrike Ruppert-Schulz and Andrea Taylor-Spandau of Boca Raton; John Frazee and Barry Ravel of Boynton Beach; Lois Brezinski of Delray Beach; Robin Meyers of Greenacres; Bonnie Perlin of Highland Beach; Peter Dettmers of Jupiter; Maria Karki and Susan Oakes of Lake Worth; Page Lee Hufty Bell of Palm Beach; Irina Ponomareva of Palm Beach Gardens; Thomas Kepping of Singer Island; Nancy Tilles of Wellington; and Cindy Bartosek and Robert St. Croix of West Palm Beach.
