The Palm Beach County Public Safety Department’s Division of Emergency Management has activated the Emergency Shelter Plan for those residents seeking refuge from flooding in eastern Palm Beach County. The Urban Flooding Emergency Shelter will be open beginning at 4:00 P.M., December 14, 2006 at the following location:

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for all of Palm Beach County. Numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms continue across the County, where 7-8 inches of rain has already been reported. Additional rain is forecast throughout the evening.
The Division of Emergency Management has issued a warning to drivers not to venture into areas with your vehicle where standing water covers the roadway. The depth of the water may be too great to allow your vehicle to cross safely.
