Commissioner McCarty Joins Officials for Fire Station Groundbreaking

Commissioner McCarty (center) joins dignitaries and invited guests in the ceremonial groundbreaking.

Local residents from Boca Pointe and Boca Del Mar joined Commissioner McCarty and Chiefs Herman Brice and Randy Sheppard on December 6th for the groundbreaking of Fire-Rescue Station #56.  The property for Station #56 is located at 6250 S.W. 18th Street between Military Trail and Powerline Road in Boca Raton.  This station will serve residents within approximately 2 ½ square miles and is projected to reduce average response time by three minutes.  The scheduled opening is January 2009.
