“Joey Bergsma Retinoblastoma Awareness Month”

Commissioner Greene presents a proclamation to Pam Bergsma, “Joey’s grandmother,” declaring December as Joey Bergsma Retinoblastoma Awareness Month. Since Joey’s death in 2000, Pam Bergsma has worked tirelessly to get legislation passed requiring a special eye exam for infants to detect this often deadly affliction.
