County Commissioner Shelley Vana attended a ground-breaking ceremony on Dec. 5, 2008 for the 10th Avenue North Gateway project in Lake Worth.

The project includes street and infrastructure improvements such as undergrounding utilities; new traffic signalization; medians for traffic calming; new sidewalks, curbs and gutters; benches and garbage cans and new landscaping.

The project is currently in the construction phase and is scheduled for completion in late 2009..
