County to Open Cold Weather Shelters

The Palm Beach County Public Safety Department’s Division of Emergency Management has activated the Cold Weather Emergency Shelter Plan for parts of Palm Beach County.
The Cold Weather Emergency Shelters will be open beginning at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 9, 2007. Residents in the Glades region seeking refuge from the cold should contact:

The National Weather Service predicts a temperature of 40o F or a wind chill of 35o F in Palm Beach County. The Division of Emergency Management will continue to monitor weather developments and make announcements on any further shelter openings as necessary.
