Commissioner Santamaria Hosts First Monthly Community Forum

On January 17, Commissioner Santamaria hosted his first District 6 Community Forum at the original Wellington Mall. More than 200 west-area citizens and civic leaders attended. Joining Commissioner Santamaria was County Commission Chairperson Addie L. Greene. Commissioner Santamaria gave an overview of his first two months in office and then listened to residents’ concerns on a number of issues including environmental protection, roads and traffic, utilities and water service, code enforcement, affordable housing, home insurance, roof repairs, and social services. Commissioner Santamaria said he was very pleased by the turnout and plans to hold similar discussions on the third Wednesday of each month.
