Residents attending ArtiGras this weekend at Abacoa are encouraged to visit the Palm Beach County Public Affairs booth near the Art Demo Stage. Staffers will be distributing information and giveaways about the developing North County Life Science Corridor.
Be sure to pick up a colorful new brochure that invites you to “join the vision.” It contains a map highlighting sites near the Scripps Florida campus at FAU that may soon be home to pharmaceutical labs and related biomedical companies. The pamphlet is part of an overall marketing campaign to help residents understand the planned biotechnology cluster endorsed by the Board of County Commissioners and the governor.
“The Corridor” is composed of properties under the zoning and land-use jurisdiction of Palm Beach County and the cities of Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Lake Park, Riviera Beach and Mangonia Park. All told, nearly 10 million square feet of space has been identified for biotechnology purposes within a 10-mile radius of Scripps.
ArtiGras takes place this Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Feb. 17, 18 and 19. The Public Affairs booth is located on University Drive just west of Central Boulevard.
