Commissioner Koons Co-Hosts Greenacres Town Hall Meeting

City Council members, HOA representatives and citizens attended the gathering.

On March 19, County Commission Vice Chair Jeff Koons co-hosted a town hall meeting with Chairperson Addie Greene at Greenacres City Hall. Approximately 50 Greenacres City Council members, HOA representatives and citizens attended the gathering.

Commissioner Koons provided updates on gasoline tax funding, library projects, urban redevelopment and property tax reform. He urged public opposition to a proposed state House tax rollback measure that would mean revenue losses of $300 million for Palm Beach County and $1.3 million for the city. Residents were also concerned about increasing traffic and asked for new signs and traffic calming devices at several locations.
