Commissioner Jess Santamaria hosted his monthly District 6 Community Forum on March 20 at the original Wellington Mall. The primary topic was property tax reform. Commissioner Santamaria also provided an update on the status of Mecca Farms. Helping explain the County’s position on property appraisal methods and state tax plans was Assistant County Administrator Brad Merriman. Residents asked about land-use and density, impact fees and other funding sources for infrastructure, and expansion by the Water Utilities Department.
