Residents and members of the news media are invited to attend this month’s District 6 Community Forum on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 hosted by Commissioner Jess Santamaria.
The topic will be the drought, water conservation and water-use restrictions. The forum will be held from 7-9 p.m. in the center court of the original Wellington Mall, located at the southeast corner of Forest Hill Blvd. and Wellington Trace.
Invited speakers include Ken Adams, former County Commissioner and former member of the South Florida Water Management District’s Board of Governors; South Florida Water Management District Service Center Director Fred Rapach; Palm Beach County Water Utilities Director Bevin Beaudet; and Rosa Durando, environmental activist and member of the Audubon Society of the Everglades.
All District 6 residents are welcome. Coffee and cookies will be served.
