More than 70 North County residents attended a town hall meeting on April 12 hosted by District 1 Commissioner Karen T. Marcus.

Development, beautification, traffic concerns and rising property taxes were among the issues discussed at the 90-minute meeting, which was held in the commission chambers of Juno Beach Town Hall, 340 Ocean Drive. Several residents thanked Marcus for arranging an open forum where their voices could be heard.

Marcus encouraged residents to “not be shy” when approaching the microphone. “We’re here to listen,” she said from the dais.
County Commission Chairperson Addie L. Greene and County Administrator Robert Weisman also attended.

Greene praised District 1 residents for their continued cooperation with Marcus in improving their community.

“You are working with her and that means a lot,” Greene said.
