More than 100 Acreage and Loxahatchee residents attended a town hall meeting on April 12 at Seminole Ridge High School. District 6 Commissioner Jess Santamaria and officials with the Indian Trail Improvement District arranged the gathering to bring west area residents up to speed on a number of development-related issues.

Much of the question-and-answer session centered on impacts from residential and commercial development planned by Callery-Judge Grove and G.L. Homes. The two large-scale land owners are seeking approvals for 10,000 and 12,235 homes, respectively. Commissioner Santamaria encouraged residents to voice their opinions on the Callery-Judge project at a public hearing scheduled for May 7.
