Palm Beach County Commissioner Mary McCarty will be participating in the County's Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 21 at 10 a.m. at Ocean Inlet Park on AIA in Ocean Ridge.
The Commissioner, in conjunction with the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department, will launch a new program to eliminate discarded cigarette butts and other litter on County-operated beaches. Mayors Jerry Taylor (Boynton Beach), Ken Kaleel (Ocean Ridge) and Dave Steward (Lantana) are expected to attend in support of these efforts.
All members of the community are invited to attend. Free parking and refreshments will be available, and special activities and prizes are planned for children. Please meet at the concession stand located inside the west entrance of the park. |
