Smiles were abundant as Commissioner Jess Santamaria joined with local residents to celebrate the opening of Caroline Park, the County’s newest neighborhood park on Saturday, May 5.
“It’s important that we continue providing parks such as this where our children can play safely,” said Commissioner Santamaria.
The .26-acre park is located at 67 Caroline Drive near the Town of Haverhill and includes a half-court basketball court and two age-appropriate children’s play areas featuring slides and a tire swing. The park also has an accessible picnic table, two benches, a water fountain, and a bicycle rack.
The park was developed by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and the Countywide Community Revitalization Team (CCRT) in response to the surrounding community’s request for a safer place for youth to play.
