TMPU Honors Community Leaders

The City of Delray Beach received the Special Recognition Award for its strong support and participation in programs administered by TMPU. Commissioner McCarty took personal pleasure in presenting Delray Beach with its award since she began her political career on the Delray Beach City Commission. On Wednesday, May 9, 2007, the organization Toward A More Perfect Union (TMPU), which fosters stronger multicultural communities through public dialogue, recognized local leaders at an evening awards ceremony at NewsChannel 5.  TMPU sponsors study circles composed of small groups of 10-15 people who meet regularly in an interactive environment over a period of weeks and discuss diversity.  If you are interested in participating in a group, you can call the TMPU office at 832-3336.

Commissioner McCarty is the founding chairman of TMPU.
