Commissioner Newell made a visit to the County’s new Golf Learning Center on opening day, June 8, 2007. This state-of-the-art facility is located in John Prince Park at 4754 South Congress Avenue, Lake Worth. Programs will be offered for golfers of all ages and all abilities in a friendly, non-intimidating atmosphere.

The John Prince Golf Learning Center includes a driving range with seven target greens, 42 grass hitting stations, 16,000 square feet of practice putting/chipping greens, a practice fairway bunker and three regulation practice holes – two with par 3 and one with par 4. A full service golf/snack shop will accommodate golf equipment and apparel needs.
Lessons, clinics, camps and tournaments will be available for children, and extensive programming will be offered for adults. Special Olympic golf athletes will also enjoy training and tournament competition at the new facility.
