Commissioner McCarty to Host Opening of Yamato Scrub Natural Area October 17

Reporters and photographers are invited to join District 4 County Commissioner Mary McCarty for a tour of the new Yamato Scrub Natural Area on Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at 10 a.m. The tour will showcase the recently completed public-use facilities available at this 217-acre natural area located at 701 Clint Moore Road in Boca Raton. Joining Commissioner McCarty will be officials from the City of Boca Raton, the County’s partner and co-landowner of the Yamato Scrub property.

NOTE: Casual dress and comfortable shoes are recommended.

Directions: From I-95 take the Congress Avenue exit. Go south on Congress to Clint Moore Road. Go left (east) on Clint Moore for about 1/4 mile. The Boca Raton Shriner's Club will be on your left. Make a U-turn at the Shriner's Club and start heading west on Clint Moore Road. The Yamato Scrub Natural Area parking lot is on the north side of Clint Moore Road just west of the Shriner's Club.
