Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control is providing low-cost rabies vaccinations and microchipping for dogs and cats on Saturday,
November 10 from 8 to 11 a.m. during the second annual Arrf-Ritis Walk. The location is John Prince Park, 4759 S. Congress Avenue between Lake Worth Road and 6th Avenue South in Lake Worth.
In celebration of Veterans Day, the special fee for the rabies vaccination is $5, the rabies license tag is $5 and the microchip is $5 per animal. All dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers.
Dogs and cats should be protected against rabies, a fatal disease. A rabies vaccination and tag are required by law for pets four months or older. All puppies and kittens less than four months are required by law to wear a Juvenile Rabies License tag. If an animal becomes lost, a microchip will help locate the pet’s owner.
